BOARD OF EDUCATION VACANCY

The Pittsgrove Township School District has a vacancy on the Board of Education to be filled by a resident of the Township of Pittsgrove or Borough of Elmer.  The term shall be from the date of appointment until the next reorganization of the Board in January, 2023.

Registered voters, who are citizens of the United States and have lived in the Township of Pittsgrove or Borough of Elmer for at least one year, and are interested in filling this position, should send a letter providing information about themselves and summarizing their interest in the position.   All letters must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6th, 2021.   Send letters to Mr. Darren Harris, Board Secretary, Pittsgrove Township School District, 1076 Almond Road, Pittsgrove, NJ 08318, FAX 856-358-6020, e-mail dharris@pittsgrove.net.





P.T.S.D. SAFE RETURN PLAN

Section 2001(i)(1) of the ARP Act requires each LEA that receives ARP ESSER funds to develop and make publicly available on the LEA’s website, no later than 30 days after receiving ARP ESSER funds, a plan for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services for all schools (Safe Return Plan) A Safe Return Plan is required of all fund recipients, including those that have already returned to in-person instruction. Section 2001(i)(2) of the ARP Act further requires that the LEA seek public comment on the Safe Return Plan and take those comments into account in finalization of the Safe Return Plan. Under the interim final requirements published in Volume 86, No. 76 of the Federal Register by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), an LEA must periodically, but no less frequently than every six months through September 30, 2023, review and, as appropriate, revise its Safe Return

The New Jersey Administrative Code indicates that the Board of Education shall establish a parent advisory group in order to provide input to the district concerning students with disabilities.

Information for Homeless and Displaced Students

If a student is or becomes homeless or displaced, please call our district's Homeless Liaison, Mrs. Michelle Deaver at (856) 358-3094 Extension 4336.  The homeless liaison and school district staff will assist homeless/displaced students with student-related services and arrange transportation for our students.
